My "Post No Bills" side tables and my picture frames are now for sale at Voos Furniture!

The showroom has been widely published, and appeared in the New York Times several times - most recently last winter. They've managed to collect an extraordinary variety of amazing furniture and unique design objects [my work included] at one location.

And if you can't find what you're looking for, they just launched a customization service which gives architects, designers, and individual customers the opportunity to create custom designs. If you can think it, Voos Furniture and their syndicate of talented artists can make it.

The "Arco," "POST NO BILLS" table that I donated to the Housing Works, "Design on a Dime" event got tweeted this week!

Sounds like she just got one of them... I wonder where the other one went. If anyone finds it, let me know.

That gives me an idea: The first person to email me a web link [or photo] confirming the location/owner of my other donated table will get a FREE
Arco "Post No Bills" table. Seriously. You find it, you'll own it [or one just like it]. I'll announce the lucky winner once I hear. Offer expires June 19, 2010. The clock is ticking...

If you want one of these fashionable industrial tables for yourself, you can find them here:

I've donated 2 of my "Post No Bills" tables and 2 of my "Modern Picture Frames" to the Housing Works Thrift Shop's sixth annual Design on a Dime fundraising event.

"Opening Night Reception on Thursday, May 6th
at the Metropolitan Pavilion. Join us for New York City’s most popular interior design benefit event, where you’ll enjoy exclusive preview shopping, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and live entertainment."

Housing Works Is an amazing organization:

"Housing Works is committed to ending the twin crises of AIDS and homelessness. We believe that all people have the right to a rich and empowering life. Since 1990, we have provided the highest quality services for homeless men, women, and children living with HIV and AIDS in New York City and beyond." Find out MORE.

If you're in the NYC area and would like to attend, you can buy tickets for the opening night reception on May 6th, 2010 HERE. Access to the FREE public sale is on May 7th & 8th.

A few years ago, I donated one of my "Viza" tables to the same event. Here are a couple of photos of the event:

new butcher block table with storage

Share

Well this is a new post for an old table. I made this table 4 years ago as a solution to a very small New York City kitchen [in my very small New York City apartment]. Now that the design concept has been thoroughly kitchen-tested, I am now selling custom versions of this table through my web site.

Click on either of the images in this post to learn more about this butcher block table, and see how it accommodates all that cookware on hooks under the maple cutting surface.

All you need is a few square feet of floor space and you can free up some of your already overloaded kitchen cabinets. The thick and rugged solid maple butcher block top is perfect for cutting, slicing, and dicing. Give your cookware a stylish new home - and get some extra counter space as well! Custom sizes available to suit your particular needs. Check out my web site roykushner.com for contact information and for custom quotes.
